2005-2006 NHS "Destination Unknown" Winter Guard Any student wishing to join the Winter Guard program for 2005-2006 please see Aurilla. *** DOWNLOAD 2005-2006 Sign-Up Form ***No experience necessary! We have had students in the past with little to no experience and they have done a phenomenal job with learning the techniques and performing in competition. Practices/Competitions:Practices are held Wednesdays (6:30-9p) and Saturdays (10a-2p) at Lincoln School. The Winter Guard program participates in local competitions and in the NHS Spring Instrumental Music Trip. Be expected to have all weekends from December-April booked with either practices or competitions. ------------------------------------------------------- What is Winter Guard?Winter Guard is a competitive sport that performs without the marching band. During the marching band season, the Color Guard performs on the field, but Winter Guard's performances are done inside the gym. The Winter Guard choreographs routines to a variety of different kinds of music. Just as with the Fall program, Winter Guard requires a serious commitment from both the student and parent involved. The Winter season begins in December and ends in April with Championships. For additonal information:* WG Page on Dept. Website* MAIN (Competition Circuit)* WGI (Winter Guard International)
